“When it comes to keeping up with Bama, A&M, etc.” Did I miss it when Texas A&M did something worth a shite to be included with Alabama?

Is his position that this doesn't happen at other big time schools? Yea, there's no politics at Ohio State, Texas, Michigan, USC, Clemson, Florida State, etc. etc. What a dumbass thing to say. There's politics at any big time sports school, especially when it comes to football and even basketball. No SEC schools are in his top 5 because he probably can't get a job at any SEC schools.

He's right you know, whomever "he" is. Hell, the governor of Louisiana hired our current football coach. If that's not meddling, then what is?

That’s one way to look at it. Another way is for a program like Bama to realize what they did with Saban worked and it’s in their best interest to continue that.

"you have to factor in your ability to freely do what you think is best" Meanwhile, didn't this guy have Texas as no. 1? This guy is an idiot.

What major programs don't have meddling GOBs? They all do. The difference is whether or not the current brass let's the HC tell those GOBs to GTFO. That's what happened at Bama.
