I would have appreciated if he had just said, "Look, our conference sucks so we want the opportunity to prove our worth by adding an additional mediocre game to the schedule. This way Clemson has no chance of getting bumped out of the playoff by a 8-2 SEC runner-up since they will have at least 10 wins."
