Hello board, the Mrs. and I are going to South Africa this summer for vacation. We want to also go up to Victoria Falls as part of the trip.

Does anyone have any recs for adding this to our trip? Is it hard to cross the border between the two countries? Any good guides or tour providers to enhance the experience? How long were you there?

I haven't done it but my research into it made it seem very doable to do both sides in a day.

Also, of course the better side is in the more messed up country

Absolutely you should go to Vic falls... it makes Niagra look like the distance between your bathtub and the drain

Years ago, we stayed at these cabins fairly close by but not sure how much has changed regarding available lodging

Zimbabwe will forever hold a special place in my heart and life .

I felt I got the full experience just from the Zimbabwe side of the Falls.
Didn’t ever set foot in Zambia . And if I recall the bridge you can bungee jump off of is Zambia

Zambia. Do the Devil's Pool if the water is low enough.

Definitely stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel. Excellent old colonial hotel, don't miss the wildlife walk through the courtyard at sunset.

White water rafting under Vic Falls is also incredible and dangerously fun.
