Wineries to visit in or near the Tuscany region

I'm looking for recommendations on wineries to visit and possibly staying the night. We are leaving Amalfi Coast and taking the train to Florence - looking to stop at a b&b/winery on the way to set destination.

Which part of Tuscany? It's a large wine region. You have Bolgheri near the coast the you have Chianti Classico region further inland.
What type of wines are you looking to taste or buy? Super Tuscan. Brunello di Montalcino. Ross di Montepulciano. Sassaia. Chianti. I'm missing some but those are the biggies.

Looking for somewhere that's an easy stop on the way from Naples to Florence. Gyno recommended San Gimignano and that looks like it may actually work.
My wife and I have this idea in our heads that we want to stay at a b&b, preferably on a vineyard, for a night or two that's not to difficult to get Florence.

We visit this vineyard every time we're in Gaiole in Chianti.
Isodi
The family is welcoming and are very proud of their outstanding wines. We're staying there in September in one of the rooms. I can't recommend it enough. It's the exact opposite of a huge commercial vineyard.

As far as other vineyards to go to there's Baron Ricasoli. It's a beautiful castle and it's where the Chianti Classico formula was first made. Brolio is an outstanding wine as is their Tuscan blend called Casalferro.
Banfi is a good stop. Capannelle is great and it's rumored that Elton John has his wines stored in the cellar.
There are tons of great wineries in the Tuscan region. An easy way to sample wines there is to go to an enoteca (tasting room) where you can taste a lot of different wines. The enoteca in Greve is outstanding. Enoteca Falorni

Went to a few in the Bolgheri Region. One was Petra and the other was set around a castle, with the tasting inside the castle.
We hired someone that drove us around, scheduled the tasting, arranged meals and made sure we saw any must see sites along the way.

There's nothing to rent in Tuscany.

So are you telling me there's not one house to rent in all of Tuscany? I can't get a sublet, a guest room, a cot, nothing?

I'll second Ricasoli in Chianti. Great wine, castle and views.
San Gimignano is also a wonderful city. Lots of great shopping in the town and many wineries down the hill. The vernaccia grape grows on the slopes there and you can't go wrong with any of the wineries there.

While not a winery, We stayed a few nights at La Chiusa. There are plenty of wineries in the surrounding area. Small property that has a Michelin rated restaurant. I believe there are only 6 or 9 rooms there, so it is very quaint. It is a former olive oil press facility, that has been converted. Amazing grounds, huge sweeping views of Tuscan countryside.
La Chiusa
This would qualify as a treat, it is a memorable stay. Be prepared for a little sticker shock, but if you are going to do it, do it right!
