Sorry you are too stupid to understand facts. And wayyy too sensitive on a message board. Your poor wife.

Don’t fly to any of the shaded areas on the map going by your broken logic btw

Hope you don’t live in Texas. It’s shaded on the map.....may have to move now cause Zika.

Zika in San Diego County All Zika cases in San Diego County have been related to travel to an area with risk of Zika. An area with risk of Zika means that mosquitoes there may be infected with Zika and spreading it to people. San Diego has also reported cases of sexual transmission of Zika from a traveler to an area with a risk of Zika, and transmission from a pregnant woman to her fetus. For updated information on Zika activity in San Diego and California, please see the Local Zika Activity webpage.

Come on down to SD brotha. I've lived in San Diego for just over 5 years now and can't remember seeing a mosquito once.

Dear Diary,

Some bagboy man from the swamp makes more money than I do and takes vacations as he pleases. This infuriates me. I'm so triggered I find myself lashing out at the bagboy. Feeling overwhelmed.

Damn son, bringing the heat.

I see why you're looking for a vacation.

A little slap fighting could probably liven up the travel board.

As for zika, homeboy should quit being a bitch and go to San Diego.

His kid is more likely to have a defect due to his sperm, his wife's eggs, or the contaminants in his home than a couple of Mexican skeeters that have been dead for six months.

I'm thinking about a AirBnB condo in Ocean Beach in May for 3-4 nights for a surprise graduation gift for my daughter....what say the Travel Board?

Sounds awesome. If she disagrees, my wife and I will take it instead.

San Diego is beautiful, great weather and a ton to do. I've stayed at Mission Beach/Bay and Downtown, not Ocean Beach, but the city is very driveable, so you can hit all the good stuff from everywhere.

Many good suggestions from the board. My 2 "top" suggestions for your situation are La Jolla Shores Hotel and the Catamaran. The La Jolla Shores area is more of a family beach with calmer waters than most beaches in the area and a playground/park to boot. The Catamaran (Pacific Beach) is a good option if you prefer more options as far as restaurants, shopping, etc. and easy access to both beach and bay.

Unless you're comfortable with SD, I would avoid Ocean Beach. The beach isn't the best and the "locals" can detract from the fun (think haight-ashbury ultra-lite), but would be a fun couple of hours. Considering the age of your daughter, Pacific Beach would prob be best.

OK Thanks. I am actually shocked that you can rent a condo/apt there for less that $200 a night. It seems like a great sport to base out of. The Zoo, Seaworld, LaJolla/coast and downtown all seem relatively easy to get to from that area. We my even try to get to Catalina for a night as we missed that last time we were in Newport Beach/LA area.
