Where is the bad traffic getting to the beach from south LA?

I keep hearing about people getting stuck in traffic and/or roads/bridges being closed.
Where is this?
We’re going to the Perdido area in a couple of weeks.
Thanks.

The tunnel in mobile is a mess and there isn’t anything you can really do about it.
The only other bad traffic is likely on the two lane roads through beach towns.
All of this is normal and it’s amplified when people want to be at the same place as everybody else. People just want to complain. Plan for the extra time and accept it.

Last time we went, we hit 3 bad pockets before we got to the beach area where it's just congestion due to volume on 2 lane highways. Use Waze, or google maps for GPS (can't speak for android), they were a lot better at navigating around over the car's system.
The 3 pockets were:
I-12 & Causeway (construction)
GulfPort: Got off by the outlets and took Seaway road to jump ahead
Mobile Tunnel: Get off at the 65N exit, exit at 90, then 98 (Spanish Fort). Do not recall what road we used to jump back onto I10

It also depends on what days you go and come back
Coming back on a Sunday is not ideal
Going on a Fri can be pretty bad as well

Pay for the early check in and late check out.
When possible,
schedule the week from Wed to Wed, NOT Fri to Fri or Sat to Sat.
Thank me later.

I don't recommend taking the 59 exit through Gulf Shores to get to Perdido. It's not heavy traffic, but just way too many red lights. Turn by the Bucee's and take the Balwin Beach Express to the Foley Express, to 180, then south on 161will put you on the beach in Orange Beach. Cross the bridge, and you're in Perdido.

Thanks for all the info.
We’re going Saturday to Friday.
I always use Waze.
