I have no idea how you found this. I've checked April, may, and June dates. It's no where near that cheap

The days you fly dictate alot of the pricing. Look at the low fare calendar.

You don't have to pay $1 extra to stay seated until the end of your boarding group.

Your seat on Southwest directly correlates to when you board the plane. One of the reasons it's down near the bottom of airline options for me. I don't want to be stuck in a middle seat because I had a late connecting flight or spent 1 extra minute in the lounge. With every other airline, even Spirit and Frontier, your seat is your seat regardless of when you board.

Yes but then it's a 20% premium over Delta or UA, versus just the 10% premium they usually charge

"the end of your boarding group", especially B or C, on Southwest is a lot different than having an assigned seat on delta.

I totally understand that and again, you don't have to stand in the corrals to board the plane.

Continue to get your A group as normal (either by paying for it or by logging in 24 hours ahead of time), sit near the jeyway board after the rest of the A group has but before the B group has.

If you're on the 737-700 end of B would be difficult for an isle or middle but definitely not end of A.

If you're on a 737-MAX or 737-800 even the end of B will still have isle and window available.
