What's the easiest way to get to Telluride in the summer?

Would probably fly out of MSY. I don't mind renting a car and driving a bit thereafter, but it looks at least 6 hours from any major airport (Denver or Albuquerque).
What are my best options otherwise, and what am I looking at in time and cost?

No service to montrose during summer?

Yea, is that my best bet to get there? I guess it looks like it.

Yes. I heard that United now has flights directly to telluride. Not sure if seasonal though

I've driven from Denver airport once and it wasn't terrible but I wouldn't do it again

i thought TEX was just general aviation (i.e., private planes).
i am pretty sure you can fly into montrose from houston, dfw, and denver. so a stop there from MSY would get you to telluride.

Montrose has commercial year round. My parents use to own a condo in Mountain Village and would fly in once or twice every summer. Never a problem getting flights.

I’ve always come up from Albuquerque, mainly because I like the drive.

from DEN you can fly to durango or montrose. you'll need to rent a car at both. the drive to telluride fron denver isnt that bad and lots to do and see, so thats what i'd do

Summer nonstops to Telluride.
I’ve never been out there, but’s it’s on my bucket list for winter, summer, and the Blue Grass Festival. It’s so close yet so far. There is also a Land Cruiser event there every summer called Hundreds in the Hills. The pictures look amazing.

No help on the flight, but if you are into sight seeing, rent a 4x4. There are tons of passes and trails you can venture on, most are very doable in a decent 4x4 midsize truck or SUV.
