Western Arkansas recommendations

Looking to take a short trip to central Western Arkansas around the Mardi Gras break. I have family that lives in Mena, so I would like to stay somewhere within about a 30-45 minute radius around there. Any recommendations on what area to stay in or hikes/trails that we should check out? I'll have my 3 year old, so not really looking for all day/hard hikes, but just somewhere that we can hang out and enjoy the outdoors together.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Lot of good outdoor things around there.
Nothing good indoors or otherwise within 30-45 miles.

my kids loved Cossatot River State Park its on the western side, south of where you will be. we just got back from a vacation in hot springs. lake hamilton and lake catherine are both really nice and worth the trip.

Not really what you're looking for, but since that part of Arkansas rarely gets a thread.
The Eagle Rock Loop down there is a hidden gem. 25 - 28 miles depending on who counts the miles and where you start. It's one of the great backpacking loops in the south.

Rent a house on Lake Catherine. Hot Springs is close. Lake Ouachita is great too but we enjoyed Catherine more.

You can go digging around hoping to find some of Barry Seals buried drug running money.
