Will be in DC tomorrow thru Sunday for work. Staying at a hotel downtown. I'm late 20s, not a huge party animal but would like some recommendations on good places to eat and bars to check out. Thanks in advance

I didn't even go out when I was out there because I was so burned out from all the sightseeing. I ate at Founding Farmers (which was awesome) and a girl there recommended U Street for bars. There's also the Dupont Circle area that has a lot of bars restaurant. I also ate at Old Ebbets Grill which was a cool atmosphere.

I always tell people to go to Jacks Rose for a glass of whiskey. The place is amazing.

That place kicks arse. My sister lives about five minutes walking from there.

U street/14th street corridor has plenty of bars/restaurants, you really can't go wrong.

As others have said, Jack Rose is GOAT when it comes to scotch and the food is awesome as well

further up 18th there are more bars/restaurants that are mostly solid.

underrated spot on V and 14th is called Mulebone, good mix of southern/soul and good cocktails. Really enjoy that place
