would you consider a place that does not have any reviews? a fairly new listing but old enough to have a review. what would the board suggest in doing some homework to make sure it's not a scam? or just don't even consider the place?

Looking at places last minute and the options are limited.

I booked a brand new VRBO listing with no reviews last month for a trip this summer.

can you find the property listed on another site? like tripadvisor or even local sites like pensacolabeachrentals.com or something?

if the property is listed elsewhere, you might find reviews.

or you might look up the property manager or management agency for reviews. or simply ask them if the property has any reviews.

I’d generally not consider a place with no reviews. Too much sketchy stuff that can go down in someone else’s house that I don’t want to deal with.

I wouldn't consider a place with no reviews unless the owner has other properties with reviews.

I once rented a place with no reviews and ended up getting raped (actually not metaphorically).

Do not do it, unless you are into that type of thing.
