Which airport did you fly to St. Thomas from? And did you happen to deal with a very short layover time?

I'm asking because I booked a trip to St. John next June but my flight options (American Airlines) from New Orleans are through Miami airport (45 minute layover) or Charlotte airport (40 minute.) My concern is if the first flight is delayed we may miss the second flight. I figure Charlotte is a smaller airport which could mean shorter distance/time it would take us to get to the next flight. Any experience with this?

I usually fly MSY to MIA to STT, but last time did MSY to IAH to STT. My layover was 1 hour both times and had plenty of time in IAH transferring.

I am back home and have PIF (Post Island Fever). The main symptoms are:

1) Dreaming of being there
2) Flat wallet
3) Pealing skin
4) Planning next trip

All in all....A Simply Wonderful Week.

Last day on Jost. Another great trip. If any of you get the chance eat dinner at Hendo’s Hideout. They aren’t open for dinner every night but the food is outstanding.

The Puerto Rican navy is celebrating Christmas in July this week. Great people to party with. There are supposed to be 600 or more boats at Savannah Bay today.

Tomorrow is our last full day. Moved into Cruz Bay today and tomorrow. Lobster night at Morgan Mango’s. Kids are already talking about when we come back next time.

Final night closing picture:
