Heading there next week with wife and 6 y/o. Plan on going to Buck Island. Other than that, not sure what are the must do and eats.

Eat at Chicken Shack. It’s a local place.

There’s a really beautiful beach north of Frederickstead. It’s a turtle breeding ground so the hours are limited there. No umbrellas, etc are allowed to protect the breeding grounds.

The easternmost point in the US is on St Croix. There are quite a few good restaurants at the way there. We really enjoyed our meal at Savant. It was outstanding.

Go up to the bar at the top of the rainforest. There’s a bar with a couple of beer drinking pigs there. Your 6 year old will love it.

ETA: The underwater national park at Buck Island is a cool snorkeling experience.

Good info. Been busy with LSU tailgaiting and game all yesterday. If you're that impatient and hard up for a thanks, looking for self validation and a pat on the back, it's pretty sad.

Be careful walking the streets of Christiansted at night. Not exactly the safest of environments. Keep your head on a swivel anywhere other than the Boardwalk.

I’ve heard that about Fredericksted but not about Christiansted. Obviously, there are areas to avoid at night but that’s true of most places.

You can go to the Carambola Resort on the North West side of the island and go to their beach. I remember it being pretty cheap. The tide pools over there are pretty cool too.

There used to be a place called cheeseburger cheeseburger which I thought was really good. I dunno if it is still there or not. I have not been in 10 years. Enjoy it! Remember that if someone honks at you it means "thank you."
