Anyone on here have this card? I signed up so I could get companion pass for my wife eventually, but when I signed up back in August the bonus was 40k points if you spend $1000 in the first 3 months.

I spent about 5 grand on the card in that time frame and the bonus points have not shown up. In the fine print is says that it can take up to 8 weeks for the points to be added to my account. I am now well past that time frame and the points haven't showed.

I'm on hold now, but its been 40 mins and I'm not very patient. Anyone have this card and have any advice on how to redeem my points?

Got the card. It takes several weeks for SW to post the points even if the bank already sent them over. Also, you have to spend $110,000 on the card in a calendar year to get the companion pass.

It’s 125k now. I don’t remember it taking long for my points to post in the past.

That’s one way, but this is a huge misconception.

The key to comparison pass if booking hotels through southwest with your rewards number.

I have the pass and only spend about 30k a year on it. The rest I use other cards with better points rewards

So if I am in Hilton Honors or whatever, just give them my SW Rapid Rewards number but I need to be staying at hotels quite a bit during that year?
Or is the dollar spent in hotel to point in Rapid Rewards ration like 3 to 1?

My points showed up on the billing cycle after I crossed the pts threshold.

Love this card. I get at least two free flights every year. There are ways to maximize your points earning with partner bonuses, etc.

You need to cross reference the hotels on southwests site with Hilton. I do it often and double down on points. Start with southwests hote site

I don’t fly Southwest enough to make it worth it as my main card but I get it every few years in my name and then my wife’s name to get the points once they offer the 50k miles. One time I needed the points quick for a trip so I called and they added them on immediately. You just gotta call and they’ll work with you. With all they got going on right now though it’s not a priority for them.

It’s a good card if you intend to fly with them several times a year. A hotel card is better or a Chase travel type card.

I'm pretty sure you need to get the 125k points in the same calendar year for the companion pass. The points usually show up at statement closing once you hit the minimum spend.

That's the only card I use. Gives me equivalent of e Free trips to Cuba. I sell one (miles)and usually use the other one.
