You obviously didn’t have to make a reservation correct?
How did it work, park at the end of the route, and shuttle to the top, bike ride back down?

I called in a reservation a day ahead of time. It was for a weekday and they weren’t very busy as it’s the end of the summer and most kids are back in school. No deposit was required.
Yes we parked at the bike rental place near the end of the route. They shuttle us to the top and ride back down.
The ride can be done very quickly if you are in a hurry to make another event which we did have an event that evening. So it only took us a little over a couple hours. However if I go again I would make it for a nearly all day thing. There is a cool little village with shops and restaurants that you can stop in and an alpine coaster along the way. Also the town of Frisco had its own shops and restaurants. The rental is for the whole day.
We used Pioneer Sports for the rental and shuttle although there are some other company’s with similar service.
Also don’t waste money on an E-bike as the ride was all down hill. Only a few spots we had to peddle up slightly and only for short distances.
