It says "hotels" so is this going to now apply to tourists visiting resorts?

I've been trying to find any official notice on this. We leave on the 7th for Cozumel. Trying to find out how this may impact us.

I'm sure the mexicans in cozumel trying to get you to come in their stores to look at their junk are going to ask for your vaccine card lmao.

I was in cozumel july 9-16 and had a great time. nothing out of the ordinary. hope this doesn't ruin anything.

Interesting how Mexico wants us to show we’ve been vaccinated to participate in their society , yet we don’t require that for their illegals to enter our country.

Hmm…

We're headed over there in a week. I sent an email to the dive op that we're using. This is their response:

You do not need a negative test result to enter any business in Cozumel. The only requirement regarding Covid testing is the need to have one for your return home.

I heard the crowds were almost back to normal. Did you do any diving? What condition were the reefs?

The crowds were not there, but that's because of the lack of cruise ships. Our hotel, El cozumeleno, was about 75% full. It was a garbage place, and i will never go back to that one! Much nicer places on the island lol.

As for the diving, it was excellent as usual. Mild current and 100+ vis. Saw the usual critters.

Thanks for this... we usually dive bahamas and bonaire. This will be our first dives in cozumel. We've been looking forward to it for over a year now.

Nice, i have dove Nassau but not Bonaire. Would love to do that place. Cozumel is just so affordable and easy to get to . Enjoy!
