Questions on a Tetons/Yellowstone split

Should we do a 3/4 or 2/5 split? Tetons/Yellowstone.
Asking about number of days in each of the referenced parks. Flights are a full week in/out of Bozeman. Tetons will be first.
Thinking of 3 nights in Jackson Hole and 4 nights near West Yellowstone. We are avid hikers and want to explore the park(s) by foot.
I’m concerned 2 nights in Jackson only leaves 1 full day to explore Tetons. So I’m looking at adding a day. But wondering if our focus should be Yellowstone.
FYI, I’ve been to both as a kid, but she has not. TIA

3/4 is what I would go with. That should give you plenty time to see both parks and get some great hikes in. One full day is def not enough to explore Tetons. Enjoy your trip. One of my favorite places to visit.

2/5 unless you just really want to do a good bit of hiking in the tetons.
Fitting yellowstone into four days is tough. Fitting tetons in two is pretty easy.
Why are you doing tetons first if landing in bozeman?

- Madison valley (stops along the road)
- Head to salt lake
We are spending a good amount of time in lamar. But I've never been up there and really want to see some Grizzlies and wolves and that is by far the best place for it. And tower junction road is closed til next year, so that makes the drive further.

That level of scheduling would drive me nuts.

Lol, we probably wont do it all. It's just to help me not forget things we might wanna do.
Yellowstone is huge and lots to do, you gotta have some plans

The way the flight times are scheduled is easier to make the longer drive first.
