Anyone been? Looking at a Chilean vacation and possible ex-pat landing spot. Appears to have excellent fishing options.

I was there for two days in mid-February (late summer) 2018, and I'll share some of my pics from that trip.
Chile's Lake District is an interesting and pretty area. Lake Llanquihue was settled in the 1830s by Germans from Bavaria, and there's plenty of evidence of the area's heritage. Here are some very German-looking churches built not long after the early settlement:
You can definitely find German chocolate cake and strudel in area restaurants. Here's part of the German Heritage Museum in the nearby town of Frutillar:
The dominant feature of the lake is Volcan Osorno. It's often mistaken for Japan's Mt. Fuji.
The falls of Petrohue are more like rapids than waterfalls, but it's a pretty area.
I didn't do any fishing, but I'm sure it's nice. Again, my overall take was that it was a very pleasant and relaxing place. The only thing about it that's truly amazing or spectacular, though, is the volcano looming over the whole area.
EDIT: I didn't do the crossing over to Bariloche in Argentina, but that's supposed to be impressive.
