So the wife and I tend to do a lot of more adventurous trips that aren't particularly relaxing, but I make her do one every two years or so where I get to sit on my fat arse in a resort for a weekend.

So we are going to Puerto Vallarta for the weekend and sitting on our butts.

Inevitably, she will want to go into town and eat at a restaurant or two or go on an excursion/do something.

Recs?

Go to a tequila farm, take lots of free shots.

Went offshore fishing out of there - had a good time. Didn't catch anything, but I love to fish. There's also a market type area - I think there's maybe a Carlos and Charlie's restaurant too. Good drinks there. Food wasn't as good as the resort food. Went zip lining in the mountainous area south of the city too - that was quite fun.

There is a restaurant called PiPi's that was great and recommended to us about 17 years ago. We went and I remember it being awesome. Checked it out and apparently it's still awesome.
