Planning a last minute 4th trip from B’ham for young family

I am wanting to take my kids 7, almost 5 and almost 3
somewhere for the 4th within driving distance of Birmingham that have fun activities they can do. I am looking at the Grand Hotel in Fairhope and Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Are there any other suggestions or feedback on either place mentioned?

It’s a 5.5 hr drive, but Savannah is super cool. Lots of history, good eats, beach and Hilton Head nearby. Easy walking town.
