Last time I went they had an amusement park to date how long it's been.

You're going to have to give a little more info. How old are you? Travel party demographics, preferences, etc.

If you're a a mid twenty something traveling with your parents my answer would my be different than if you're say in your 40s and traveling with your wife and child.

Firefly is about the best you'll find for dining and has real good specials from 5-6. Its right next to Nivol Brewery so that makes for a nice way to start an evening. The Craft Bar has some decent options but I think it's extremely overpriced for the inconvenience of having to drive 10+ minutes.

Shipwreck Island waterpark is cool. Beachfront Adventure Park can be fun.

If you have kids Panama City has a neat swim with the dolphins excursion and you also go to Shell Island and get to pick shells.

Been going there for a family vacation every summer since I was 12 (I'm 33 now)
I feel like I freaking local there

The ribs at Pineapple Willy's are good
The German place inside Pier Park is good
Best crab legs I had in years were at Dick's Last Resort
We tried Shrimp Basket last year for the first time and liked it, but they are coming to Baton Rouge now
Angelo's is good
Guadalajara is good for Mexican
Captain Anderson's is worth a trip (expensive)
Boar's Head was good a few years ago. Haven't been in a few years
Kilwin's Ice Cream in Pier Park has the best ice cream I've had in years

I can't recommend any recreational stuff
We always hit the local shops, etc... Wonderworks is cool if you've never been
I just like to sit on the balcony, relax, and look at women with my binoculars
