New Orleans cruise parking

Where is the best place to park in Nola for cruise port?

I always park in the cruise lot. It's about a hundred for the week.
They will tell you where to park when you drop off your luggage. Carnival is inside a parking garage and NCL parks at the outside lot.
You can park elsewhere cheaper and take a shuttle, but we were always ready to get on the road asap after getting back to the dock so we just parked at the dock.

You do NOT need to go through the drop off to drop line to drop off your luggage. You can go straight to the parking garage and the porters will unload your baggage in the garage at your car if needed, or you can carry it onto the ship. Parking garage is the safest most secure place although it will cost a little more.

Agree with the above. Don't waste the time dropping off your luggage first then parking. Park in the onsite garage.
