Flying into MSY tomorrow and wondering if there has been a bunch of delays due to the heavy fog the last week or so? See there is a dense fog advisory until 10 AM tomorrow, and flight isn't scheduled to land until 11:15 AM so assuming it will be fine, but just curious if anyone has flown in/out lately and has any updates.

Commercial pilots fly through a lot worse than fog. The runway will be well illuminated and fog should disperse well before 11am.

It's not the pilots' ability, it's that the new and improved MSY has not purchased critical fog systems. I can't remember what it was but it's a known problem.

Yep, they had some issues with the ILS system a few years back I believe and not all of the runways are equipped with the systems needed to allow for landing in fog.

This was from 2021 and should be back online now given the timeline
