Been researching places to stay in Montana, probably in the fall. Anyone have any tips on must see places, best place to fly into, etc. I really like the Glacier National Park Area but willing to see other areas over a 2 week trip.

That's called the Boat Club at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

Flathead Lake, Glacier, Beartooth Hwy, Yellowstone (Wyoming)... that area is full of beautiful places. I’d go in September.

I may need a hand packing out a monster bull elk in the Paradise Valley, MT area mid September if you're interested

When in the fall are you going? A few things start to close in October around Glacier, which might affect your plans. Just something to consider.

The GTTSR typically closes mid-October under normal circumstances. Last year we closed it mid August due to the fire.

Yea I was there so I know firsthand. If he’s planning to go, at least plan before mid October as I said. Can’t really plan for fires. Just hope for the best and allow room for cancelling reservations or plans just in case. Also some hotels and campgrounds will be closing for the season in October too.
