Can someone give me guidance on their thoughts with covid protocols for France. Booked Lafayette to France for wife and I for $550/person today. Still within the 24 hour rule. Per doctors orders, my wife is not to be vaccinated due to health condition and their rules is that if you are an orange country (we are currently green), you can only travel to france if it is necessary travel, negative test, and 7 day self isolation. We would lose our flight, hotels, everything we booked if that happened. Should I just go ahead and cancel and just travel stateside until this shite is for sure over?

There’s no way I’d try to travel without a vaccination right now honestly. Just seems to be too high of a likelihood of a set back.

I passed on this deal even though I posted it because we are not 100% positive we can go this winter. But I think some more deals will pop up, there’s just too much hesitation still and I think airlines are going to want to fill their seats.

ETA: many of the deals are gone already

I would not travel abroad if unvaccinated. Get a refund while you can, or at least a credit to use on other travel.

Thanks. I prefer that to crowds and heat. This is really the only time we can get away for two weeks so it works out.

Ended up booking Nola to Rome with a return home from Barcelona, each with one stop at Heathrow. About $700 with bags per ticket and was happy with the return leg being a different city so went for it.

Think we are going to do:

4 nights Rome
5 nights Florence
5 nights Barcelona

I’ll search this board for some recommendations for food, lodging or activities on the above but if anyone here has any they want to share feel free.

We love food, views(landscapes, mountains etc) biking and alcohol(including wine).

Yeah. Went ahead and cancelled. Really sucked to cancel such an excellent deal out of Lafayette. Gonna try something stateside.

Tui Fly, flies out of Miami to Brussels twice a week non stop. You can fly any place you want fairly inexpensive from Brussels. Regular price $230.00 or lower oneway.

Need Teddys trip report

Judging by his ole lady’s Instagram pics, it looked like a hell of a trip. She had him in some short shorts, so some of the pictures were distorted by the glare coming off his thighs.

Fwiw I had multiple Google Flights set and I woke up with the email at 6am. I'd say about half of them were gone/ had gone up significantly by that night, and then the other half lasted 36 hours or so. I still believe there will be multiple more deals to be had just due to the Covid still lingering and people uneasy to travel, not to mention those that aren't Vaccinated basically unable to travel internationally at this point.
