Which one would you visit for a overnight one day trip. Looking for good food, little sightseeing, and see the Mediterranean since I've never been to it.
Going be in Lyon and have a chance to make it to one of them. Or another coastal city that would be an easy train ride away.
In mid September.

Went to Marseille, Aix and Fontainebleau in June (Fontainebleau for a festival). Would return to Aix in a heartbeat. Drop dead beautiful city with amazing food.

NICE is an easy train ride. Better option if the goal is to see the Med and maybe beaches
