Marriot points

Ok fellas I’ll try not to make this OP too long but wanted to see if anyone has had this issue with Marriot before. If not, let it be a warning for others I suppose.

We booked a package deal to Kauai through “Vacations by Marriot” for flight, hotel (courtyard marriot) and rental. It was a stupid cheap deal otherwise I would have booked through the amex portal bc I am a platinum member.

We completed our stay on May 3 (awesome trip btw). We have yet to receive points (I’m a gold elite Marriot member too). Vacations by Marriott site says points will be accredited to Bonvoy member within a week of checkout, even on package deals.

So I’ve called Bonvoy 2x and both gotten rather rude responses and told I booked a package through Expedia and therefore would not get credited. (I’ve got confirm #’s from emails that proves it wasn’t Expedia but they had no interest in taking those #’s down).

I’ve also called the number to vacations by Marriot bc apparently they’re separate companies? And been told I would get the points, just give it to the end of the week. Although that rep was awful shady and definitely trying to get me off the phone.

So anyone else run into this before? I would like to get the points from the stay since it would be worth something’s

Pretty sure Vacations by Marriott is run by Expedia.

Expedia manages vacations by Marriott.

But their own FAQ's state that you'll receive Bonvoy points. Need to use the HUCA (hang up, call again) method to get someone to post them. You might also just fill out the missing stay request form on Marriott.com

FYI, the merger and new "bonvoy" plans have created a lot of issues in delays in points reporting. I'm a Titanium member and am having to call/email on most stays either because they're missing all together, or certain points from the stay aren't posting.

They’ve been slow to post on occasion recently. Did you complete the missing points form and submit your receipt? I’ve dine that twice with no issues.

Im having a similar issue with a trip not showing up. I'll give it to the end of the week and then call.

I just submitted it. Hopefully they don’t give me any trouble with the 3rd party booking question this time.
