getting a very late start planning this trip. Anyone going and aware of hotel availability near kyle field. Have never been so don't know the lay of the land. If there is a better area to stay than around the stadium, let me know.

When ole miss played there in 2014, we rented a 20 passenger bus and left from inner loop Houston. It was an 8pm kickoff, so heading there was easy with plenty of time to tailgate, but we didn’t get back until nearly 3am. We lived in houston at the time and had enough friends going that it made sense.

I’ve heard of people having to stay as far out as cypress or montogomery. Check VRBO or airBnB....college station is a lot like Oxford in that there aren’t tons of hotels.

Most places in Bryan or College Station are going to be full by now. Check hotels in Navasota and Caldwell, both are about 20-30 minutes away. If none are available try Brenham, that’s around a 35-45 minute drive.

Or you could do the above and try Airbnb type of websites and find a house.

Either way, if you do end up staying out of town somewhere and can find a way to get to and from Kyle field that doesn’t involve highway 6 and university, you will be much better off. I’m not surprised to hear the story above that people going back to Houston didn’t get back until 3am after a night game, Highway 6 is a mess on game saturdays.
