I'll be in Louisville with the family for a few nights next month. Going to hit a couple of distilleries and we are going to Churchill Downs for a little while. Any recommendations on other things to do and places to eat?

Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, Muhammad Ali Center.

There was a good breakfast place called Wild Eggs I liked. I live 3.5 hours away so I don’t get up there much.

I will be there in September for the Louder Than Life Festival.

Just got back from the Derby, and I really enjoyed the city. We went to the Jim Beam and Willet distilleries.

The fun stuff depends on how old your kids are.

If you like Speakeasy's, the Pin & Proof in the Omni Louisville hotel is pretty good as is Hell or High Water. We went to Maker's Mark, Woodford, Willett and Buffalo Trace disilleries. We ate at 610 Magnolia, but probably wouldn't recommend it. We ate at the Red Hog and really enjoyed it. we also ate at Wallace Station near Woodford (before our tour) and really enjoyed it for lunch. Great sandwiches. we ate at Bob's Chop House in the Omni and it was a really good steakhouse (been to several Bob's). Wish we would have taken a tour of Churchill Downs (our friend did and had a blast). I would try to find a tour of a horse farm (like Calumet Famrs). We didn't, but regret it. Hope this helps. Have fun. Cheers!

Market St is a really cool little stretch with a lot of good restuarants. Mayan Cafe is great. We loved Harvest, but looks like it went out of business during COVID :(
