Heading there in a few weeks to do some fishing.

Will visit Yellowstone and glacier national park.

Those that have been what are the best spots to see? Any other recommendations?

Gallatin River Guides were awesome and highly recommend. They are based in Big Sky. 406 Shuttle service for transportation from the airport if you need that type of service. Matt really goes above and beyond. Bozeman is a great, clean town with a lot of restaurants and shops. Yellowstone was incredible even though we went in November and was partially closed down.

We stayed in Big Sky in 2017 and did some fly fishing on the Gallatin. Amazing scenery and experience.

We stayed in Whitefish for 10days in July. Glacier was super cool. Whitefish is a cool little town to check out. Under the big sky music festival was really cool too. We fished the Flathead river and it was fine.

I liked the Madison River trip I took a couple yrs ago the most with respect to fishing. We were southwest of Bozeman…just south of Ennis. Scenery was unbelievable there with the big sky views. You don’t get those views on Flathead or the snake.

Was in Emigrant last week and fished the yellowstone river a couple of times north of the park and in the park a day. The bison rut is going on so they all over Lamar valley along the Lamar river. Some of the tributaries to that river in the park were very low (slough creek and soda butte creek) and the bison were all in the lamar river so we couldnt really fish there (but I have done well in that river before). we ended up fishing the Gardner river and caught a few brooke trout small than my palm (were my first brooke trout so I was happy).

Out of the park we have used Anglers west outfitters for float trips on the yellowstone. We have liked most of our guides, but a couple have really stood out, Nolan, Ryan, Jeremy, and Lance. Lance owns Broker Oar Outfitters so you can book directly through him.
