Heading to Charleston for the weekend. Any cool local bars/pubs, or anything I have to check out? This will be my first visit.

How old are you, are you married, traveling alone, etc? Where are you staying? Do you like to fish?

Search on here. Charleston is one of the more frequent topics, you will find more info that you’ll know what to do with.

Hit up Prohibition on Upper King on a weekend night there will be more attractive young females than you will know what to do with.

167 Raw, Edmond's Oast Brewing, Craftsman, Husk

I can give more recommendations

Hit up Home Team on Sullivan's Island on Saturday afternoon. You will thank me.

Don't go to the one downtown.

That's pretty much anywhere on King around the College of Charleston.

Depends on what you like. History? Nightlife? Shopping? Dining? I live roughly 1.5 hours away and there is plenty to do. Like Charleston much better than Savannah. You can park in parking garage by the old City Market and walk everywhere. One of my favorite restaurants is Basil...freaking awesome. Plantations abound around there...little known fact, they filmed part of "The Patriot" at Middleton Place. Awesome plantation.

There is Partriots Point, which has the Yorktown and Laffey, better known as "the ship that would not die." Damn good place and am taking the kids over labor day.

The Hunley is in Charleston, too. Battery Park is beautiful. There is so much to there its crazy. If you like BBQ, check out Bessinger's. Good stuff.
