ORD would like a word. I was stuck flying IAH-ORD for a couple of months, and got so bored I counted the seats available in our part of the terminal. There were something like 255 seats, total, for a gate area that had 6 737-8/9s parked at it, all boarding within 90 minutes of each other. Even worse than old LGA (Delta terminal.)

They always had the worst restaurant selection. Both price and quality.

I flew into CLT recently for the first time and after hearing all the stories about it, it wasn't as bad as I expected. It's not great for sure but not awful. They get a bit of good credit for having the car rentals on site instead of having to take a shuttle.
My vote for least favorite US airport is Orlando - I absolutely hate that airport and when I have to be in the area will fly into Daytona or Melbourne instead.
O'Hare is up there too, used to go to Chicago frequently and would fly into Midway instead.
