Last minute trip to New Orleans this weekend

My wife won some tickets to an event this Saturday and I am looking for some recommendations and/or advice as it's been a while since my last visit. I understand the current restrictions but I think we should still be able to have a good time.
Out of the Marriotts near the French Quarter, which would you recommend? I have a ton of points I need to use.
Is there a sushi steakhouse recommendation that would cover me for a good steak and her for the sushi?
We want to buy some art to remember the trip. Any recommendations on locations to go where there may be several options to choose from?
I hear the WWII museum is great. Anything else we should try to see that is open?
Cheers!

Royal Street in the Quarter, Julia St in the Warehouse District, and Magazine St Uptown.

City Park is open and has quite a bit to do.
If you like outside drinking and the weather is nice, Wrong Iron, Bayou Beer/Wine Garden, Tchopyard, Bulldog Mid-City are all pretty cool places.
As for the food, post over on the food and drink board to get more responses on that.

We went between Christmas and New Year's and the place was empty for the day and this was two days before Sugar Bowl playoff game.
A lot of the restaurants have weird hours so you might want to check. Several restaurants are closed on Mon and Tues. Mask wearing is pretty much everywhere but I never felt all that crowded anywhere we went.
The WWII Museum is open now but they are limiting visitors so I would check their website for more info.

The Saint is my favorite Marriott property in the French Quarter.
JW Marriott if The Saint isn't available.

We were there last weekend and were pleasantly surprised at how crowded it was. It felt like there was life back in the city. There's a Tsunami in New Orleans. The one in BR is pretty solid and has a good steak but I've never eaten at the one in Nola. To be honest, with all options in Nola, I probably won't. If you want to be a little more adventurous, look at Costera. It's Spanish with plenty of seafood, raw and cooked, and they have a steak.
Not sure what type of art you're looking for or how much you want to spend but if you're looking for New Orleans street art, that's set up around Jackson Square in the French Quarter.
If you like trying different beers, there're some good local breweries that are always fun to check out. I'd look at Urban South, Miel, Parleaux, or Zony Mash.

Thanks everyone for the input! Looking forward to a quick getaway before the new year gets rolling.
Down to JW or The Saint. Trying to decide which one has the best chance for upgrades.
We're not looking for any specific art, just something that catches our eye. Budget is likely determined by alcohol consumption lol.

The JW has 2 story 2 bedroom suites. Not that you need 2 bedrooms, but they probably have more suite options than most hotels.

I see both hotel reviews mention thin walls and noisy. Is either one less noisy?

Upgrades meaning taking advantage of less crowded hotels due to covid? Jw.. if anyone is having luck with this anywhere.

We were upgraded to the St. Christopher Suite at The Saint. That was a pretty cool place.

Might be different during COVID but the NOLA JW will usually only upgrade you to a larger corner room. I did get a text once that they had upgraded me to the two bed suite. Got on site and they had given it away. Titanium status.

Not sure if it still the case but when my brother was in town he had to make reservations in advance. I would call in the morning. It is a great museum.

So how much impact will Destroya's modified Phase that goes in effect on Friday have on getting something to eat and going to museums, etc this weekend?

I’d inquire now to whatever establishment you had planned to visit. Should’ve already gotten WW2 tix. Only the restaurant themselves can answer your questions . Good luck

Restaurants are still open, just lower seating capacity, but you should still be able to get a table at most places.
You can still hit up all the outdoor bars, etc.

Enjoy the inside walls of your hotel room. Phase 1, Mo Fo.

no specific food rec - I would see food and drink board BUT as far as art in remembrance of the trip:
Lozano & Barbuti Gallery, located at 313 Royal Street in between Bienville and Conti and front to Caliche & Pao Gallery.
The Lozano & Barbuti Gallery is a Caliche's & Pao's Owned Gallery which feature Lozano's, Villa's, Lorenti's, Ortiz's, Martinez's, Zabel's, Silas's, Don Kettleborough's, Caliche's & Pao's Fine Art Works, and Joseph's sculptures, and also offer fine art glass works.
I am a HUUUGE Caliche and Pao fan and own a few of their oils on canvas. Super bright colors and 3-D bold textures if you are into that like myself.
Posted hours are:
Sun - Thurs 10 - 6pm
Friday 10 - 8pm
Saturday 10 - 8pm
