Unlike most on this board, I’m not a fan of Key West unless you like hanging out with bunch of oldies.

Sunset key was the highlight of our trip.

Bakers cay

Bakers Cay is 100 miles from Key West (2.5 - 3 hour drive) Have heard mixed reviews

Search Key West for suggestions on resorts, restaurants and bars. Lots of good info already posted

Santa Maria Suites was quiet and nice. You will have no problem finding good bars.

Louie’s Backyard and Santiago’s are two off our favorite ‘nicer’ restaurants. El Siboney for good Cuban food.

Wife and I stayed here and loved it.

You may want to double check that they are still doing this, but the condo came with an access card that gets you into the Reach Resort right next door with access to their pool and all their amenities. We also had access to the Casa Marina resort however we never even made it over there because the Reach Resort next door had all we needed.

We had no problem walking all of Duval St. from here. There was a small convenience store a few blocks over for groceries and a Cuban coffee shop with great breakfast sandwiches and coffees.

I really can't recommend this place enough, just maybe message them and check on access to those resorts before booking if it appeals to you.

ETA also literally right next door to Louie's Backyard mentioned in post above

The Waldorf Astoria property is very nice. There are 2. The one with the large outdoor area and the partial man made beach. I loved Key West as couples. Rode bikes everywhere. Safe to walk around. Great mix of history related things to do and island type activities.
