Great pics!
I was in Kauai in January and it was absolutely gorgeous. The scenery when driving from the eastern part of the island to the Na Pali coast is ridiculous.

No pictures of all the chickens on the beaches?
On our fishing trip, we asked the captain about all the chickens and wondered if any of the residents eat them. He said that with these chickens, if you take the chicken and put it in a pot of water, then take a rock and put it in the pot; when the rock is tender, the chicken is done.

I've been a few times and have never seen a chicken on the beach. It must have had something to do with the weather when you were there. Poipu area.

There's a ridiculous amount of chickens running around there, actually had to stop a few times because there's was herd of them crossing the road

Most of the chickens I saw were on the east and north side of the island. And there were a ton.

I saw them North, South, East, West. Up in the trees, in the mountains, on the beaches, on the rocks. I think it was the 90's when a hurricane hit Kauai and a bunch of chickens got loose. They started getting busy and now there are feral chickens everywhere. They didn't bother me though.

I spend most of 2006 living on Kauai as a travel nurse. Those photos brought back lots of memories. Thanks for sharing.

The smell of coffee by the coffee plantation is heaven.
