Arrange a private taxi. The hotel you book with can help you arrange it. It wasn't very expensive considering it takes a while to get to the ferry to Holbox. It should be about $300 roundtrip from the airport. It's about a 2 hour drive. We have our driver make a cerveza stop along the way.
That price is for 1-2 people.

What are the food/drink prices like in Holbox? Can you still eat and drink like Kings like in isla and not break the bank?
Cheap cheap cheap! Luuma, thought, is not cheap compared to the "local" joints.

The big drawback with Holbox years ago was the insects(mosquitos). Has that been addressed?
That's an ecosystem issue, not a Holbox issue. They come out at night on the north side of the island where the flamingos are and the land is marsh. Stay in town and you will be fine.

Just read through this and realized most of it was from 2020...
I was kind of freaking out about things being closed.
We have a house with a private pool a little outside of the northern part of the island where it gets skinny, facing what I guess is kind of east... or towards Cuba.
Any recent recs? Or all the restaurants and bars still the same?

Holbox should be mostly the same. You’ll see what I’m talking about

Not hitting Holbox unfortunately. This is the first I hear of that place. We’re going to Isla.

Oh yes, my bad. Isla will be awesome.
