Is it ok to keep cancelling and rebooking hotel if price drops?
We're going to Vegas next weekend for a family birthday weekend. Everyone booked Flamingo(not my choice, long story), but it was $750 with taxes and fees two months ago for 2 nights, last week i booked at $620 and then Monday it was $523. Ive cancelled and rebooked twice and this morning its $500 total.

It takes 30 seconds to cancel and rebook. Is this a big no no or does it matter? They are having trouble filling rooms with the covid spike and i feel like it will continue to drop

FYI its a crazy weekend in Vegas and thats why prices are so high. Raiders home game, music festival, UFC PPV.

Zero issue with this. You can do the same for flights as well as long as they're not basic economy.

I do this all the time. I forward my confirmations to HotelSlash and they monitor it and alert me when the price drops.

Just save all of your cancellation confirmation numbers. Bc you may need them

I use Pruvo, just forward your confirmation email and they'll follow it for price drops. Make sure you're getting the same room, cancellation policy, free breakfast etc but hotels do the opposite to you all the time.
