International Flights - Live TV (CBS)

It looks like I will be on an international flight for part or all of the LSU Alabama game. Do any of American, United, or Delta (preferred) have live CBS during flights so I can watch the game?

Probably have to purchase wifi on board if the airline doesn't offer it for free and then watch the game on your phone or tablet.

Most airlines don't allow streaming from a phone or laptop because it sucks bandwidth. What you could do is at least listen to the game via wifi. Delta does have tvs on its planes domestically, depends on aircraft, and I would presume most of the international routes have it.

United has live TV through DirectTV on some flights. Not high-def and some channels have some static. Even had SEC network - watched replay of Ole Miss game while flying back from San Francisco on Monday.

I don't know of an easy way to confirm a specific flight will have this option though.

United doesn't have live stream on their International monitors. I flew to London recently during the Olympics, but they weren't streaming it. Surprising since they were you know, one of their sponsors.
I don't know if you'll be able to catch it unfortunately.

I think my plan of action is to vpn back to my home network or my work network and at least try to stream an audio broadcast of the game. Maybe even video if the bandwidth seems stable.
Gonna be united 787-8 I found out. Now I just need to pay attention to what app has audio broadcasts for cbs games

Perhaps someone does have it but I have never seen it, and I travel internationally A LOT.

Couldn't you buy the in-flight wifi and then use the LSU Sports mobile app for the LSU radio broadcast of the game? Or even the regular site through your mobile browser?

CBS Sports app will have video streaming. It might do audio as well.

LSU SPorts APp only works about 40% of the time, crapped out more than half the time during Ole Miss game; finally had to just put up with dumb Vern and Gary
