Paradise Cove is better than the Polynesian Cultural Center's luau based on my sister's experience with both.

So Paradise Cove's luau is better than PCC?

Eat at Pupekea Grill Food Truck, Ted's Bakery, The Sunrise Shack or Banzai Bowls on the North Shore
Stop at Eukai Beach Park + Sunset Beach
UofH is a kinda lame so I wouldn't waste your time

A full week is a lot for Oahu. If you can take a couple of those days and hit Maui or Kauai do it.
We were there and in three days did most of the above--Pearl Harbor, Waikiki (overrated and rocky), hiked Diamond Head, avoided the Polynesian Cultural Center (as someone said--no booze and if you're on a "tour" you're trapped for several hours), hit the north shore (the pipe lines via the like like!), swam in Hanauma Bay and visited the Toilet Bowl (google it), and hit several local diners.
Then we puddle jumped to Maui for four days.

I went for 5 days and felt like I didn't have enough time lol. I'm 26 however so I enjoyed staying in Waikiki.
Things I would recommend that I haven't seen listed
- Manoa falls (short trail to a waterfall but nice views)
- If you're a hiker Kuli'ou'ou Ridge Trail is the best hike I've ever been on. It takes some skill as a lot of places get slippery towards the top and it can be pretty steep, but the view from the top is unbelievable.
- Waimea Bay was great for sunset but it got a little packed. We went to a bay a few miles down the road that was totally empty and just beautiful.
- Kualoa Ranch was cool to see. Didn't do anything there but it was an interesting stop.
-Spitting Cave - it's literally in the middle of a subdivision, you'd never think it was there, took forever to find the entrance but well worth it

quote:Yeah. If you're into hiking there's easily enough awesome hikes to fill up a week.
If you're a hiker

if you are a beer drinker, hit up Kona Brewery's Pub on the east side of the island. They have a ton of beers that they brew that you cant get on the mainland.

Pearl Harbor is definitely on the list
We are thinking about going there this summer but I read that the USS Arizona viewing is closed. Is it worth going to Pearl Harbor if this is closed? Is this the must-see exhibit at Pearl Harbor?

USS Arizona Memorial should be experienced by every American.
