In Milwaukee for three days. Anything to do, places to eat? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

I like eating and drinking at the Milwaukee Brat House downtown when I’m up there. Simple. Any brat you want on a pretzel roll. Those damn pretzel buns are so good. I like the jalapeño and cheese stuffed brats.

They have free shuttles to Brewers games and pickup. Have a Schlitz on the ride for the novelty of it.

Carnevor steakhouse, Saint Paul fish market, stay at the Pfister if you’re on expense account.

Lower East Side is a fantastic neighborhood. A lot of good bars and restaurants on / around Brady. Eagle Park is a good brewery, Wolski's might be the best dive in MKE, Pete's Pub makes my favorite bloody, and The Diplomat is a great place for dinner.

Bay View is a popular area, too. Go to Vanguard for sausages and a beer. Gets crowded, but you can make-do at the bar. Burnhearts and The Moonship are my favorite bars here.

Ton of bars in the Third Ward. Wicked Hop makes a fantastic bloody. Public Market is right there. Worth a run through + getting a beer on the covered patio at St. Paul Fish Co.

Milwaukee has done a really good job making the city a fun place to be for residents and visitors. A ton of restaurants, bars and newer apartment buildings. I'll be there on Saturday for the day. My plan is to be on Lower East Side, though.

I think you might mean The Mothership. If so I second that. Love that bar. Also a big fan of Foundation. It's a great little tiki bar, but it's not in a super happening area.

As a Louisianan now in Wisconsin, I recommend this. Nothing like Kopp's in LA.

Downtown is really nice and walkable. There is an art museum by a nice park and path along Lake Michigan downtown. There was an afternoon biergarten in the art museum parking lot but it just closed for the season. Kimpton and Pfister are great hotels.

I would suggest checking out The Dahmer House. Incredible service, with some really, really interesting menu choices. They also have a wonderful collection of old pizza boxes.
