You’ll find the overwhelming attitude is that for better or worse they don’t even think about Americans very much. And to the extent they do, they don’t judge you for it. They’ll probably want to practice their English.

This. We are in the Dolomites and are meeting people from all over Europe. They’re very careful in their conversations because they don’t want to offend. But saying that everyone in Europe is pro trump and likes what our country is doing is disingenuous at best.

Never been to the Dolomites. Had friends go there a couple of years ago and we opted for Croatia instead. They absolutely loved it. Assuming you're having a GREAT time there as well!

Back on point..

In my time in Italy, they never seemed to delve much into American Politics or ask. Had usually been Brits on holiday, occasionally Germans.

I did find in my travels in Eastern European a surprising acceptance, particularly Serbia. Given the fact that NATO bombed the shite out of Belgrade, I thought we'd get jumped, but nope. The Serbians I've met have always been fun to talk to, gregarious etc. They've had their share of politics as well.

And, rakia is the universal equalizer.

The Dolomites are amazing my friend. You have to go. Can you hike at all? The hiking is great and I did better than I thought I would.

Was in Paris in December. One tour guide carefully brought up politics. Just said he thought it was crazy that celebrities would even think their endorsement of a candidate would matter. Said he thought that was crazy. I concurred.

Sitting in Dublin right now enjoying my morning latte. They seem to know more about American politics than I do. Kinda crazy how much the world pays attention to us. US stuff politics is in every tv it seems. Not to get political, but man they push thr LGBTQ…xyz agenda hard over here.
But everyone has been great here and in Scotland.
