Going to be in Houston the 16th of October. Any recommendations on something to do, places to eat, or where to watch football?

Offshore Angler should be along shortly. Listen to what he says, he knows what’s up.

If you don’t want to wait, there are several threads on “things to do in Houston” you can search for.

Thanks, I’ve looked up some stuff but the Travel Board always gives the best recs. I’m forever grateful to this Board for teaching me about Isla Mujeres.

What are things you like? Breweries, types of food, bike riding, museums, etc?

Tex Mex at Candente or El Tiempo for beef filet fajitas. The nearest Lupe’s to you doesn’t have the same, excellent fajitas as the original on Stafford St.

Sushi at MF Sushi or Kata Robata. Italian at Rosie Cannonball (lunch) or Potente (dinner). Amazing Spanish food from the Catalonian region at BCN Taste and Tradition. Steaks and wine at B&B Butchers upstairs patio. Cajun at Eunice in Greenway Plaza.

ETA: New American/Gulf Seafood at Bludorn.

I’d make reservations wherever you decide to eat as we’re still at 75% maximum capacity. Enjoy!

Check out Truth. Brisket is fanatic.
Pit Room is closer to you, but I prefer Truth.

I agree on B & B Butcher's on the upstairs patio. My favorite steaks in Houston. Truth BBQ is great. I like El Tiempe as well. Or make the drive and go to the Original Ninfas on Navigation.

Downtown isn't far from the museum district. 8th Wonder Brewery is fun as is Truck Yards. They are practically next door to each other. Nancy's Hustle is great as well. Lucille's is good also for southern cooking and it's in the heart of the museum district.

This weekend is going to be prime patio weather so I suggest 8 Row Flint in the Heights. I second Pinkerton's, Nancy's Hustle and BCN. One place I haven't seen mentioned in Monkey's Tail in the near northside which has a good outdoor area and some solid drinks.

That might be the shortest answer you’ve ever given on this board to a question about food in Houston.
