I plan to make it up that direction for Olympic NP one day, so a stop in Oregon would not be out of the question.

The teardrop performed well in the sup freezing temps this weekend. Lake Whitney SP exceeded my expectations. Facilities are a bit dated, but still work well and everything is clean. Wildlife in the park is outstanding. Especially deer and large birds. If you go, I recommend site 130, 128, and 126, in that order.

Until the next trip.

Thanks for posting this, I have been interested in RVs since my wife is no longer interested in tent camping. But I'm not interested in towing big and heavy. So I'm very interested in hearing your experience in these tear drops.

Had a teardropless trip back to Louisiana after Lake Whitney, then the holidays, then another teardropless trip to Colorado. Needless to say, haven’t used it in about 5 weeks.

Made a single night trip out to Buescher State Park. Just an hour from home in Austin. Nice park, but Bastrop is a much more functional campground overall. Not complaining for a single night here though. Got a steak, beer and plenty of firewood.

It’s a queen bed. Literally that’s all it is inside (with 2 cabinets and a TV). To replace the mattress when I bought it I bought a bed in a box and just opened it inside the camper. Worked great and it’s the same mattress I have at home.

Spent the weekend south of Mason Texas on the Llano River at Dos Rios RV Park.

I don’t recommend it. Just stick with state parks for cleanliness and well kept facilities. Still had a good time. Super dog friendly and Henry was off leash basically the entire time.

First stop on Friday was in Llano at coopers. Some of the best BBQ you’ll find in Texas. The Llano river is flowing nice and cold.

First weekend in February we went to Livingston a state park north of Houston. Had a great time there. Met my parents in their diesel pusher. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best that weekend and I never got any pics.
