We'll be in Healdsburg for a few days next summer. I was wondering what the best wineries to visit were? I'd rather not drive too far since we'll only have 1.5 days for wineries. TIA

Would you prefer to focus on pinots, cabs, whites, or a little of everything?

Really like Cabs but game for anything. Also, I'd rather go to vineyards that produce wines that are harder to get at stores down here.

I'll post some suggestions tonight.

Our favorite tour was Korbel Champagne about 15 miles from Healdsburg.

Seghesio is actually in town. The old owner Pete is married to a Louisiana gal. They used to do zydeco nights a few years back. They have bocce courts out front.
If you go north into Alexander Valley you'll find good Cabs at most wineries. Soda Rock, Alexander Valley Winery, Medlock Ames, etc.
If you go west-ish you will get into Russian River Valley. Great Pinots out that way.
Dry Creek Valley parallels hwy 101 and runs north towards Geyserville. Sbragia has a beautiful view from the very top of DCV. Truett Hearst and VML share a property now. Not a bad place to stop. And the Dry Creek General Store is along the way. Cool little place to stop for a beer. They should have their liquor license back by now.
Eta: I live here. If you have any questions you can email me for a more detailed response.

Seghesio and Williamson are in town. Williamson is a long tasting but pretty cool. They have food pairings. You can also to a bar tasting. Their rose is awesome.
J is right down the road, and my wife and I LOVE their pinot and sparkling. We are club members there. Rodney strong is right next door.
Shelby is in town as well, but its a bar tasting only and the wine is not the best.
Jordan is right outside of town and their cab is to die for.
Alexander Valley is another one to go to.
There is a brewery in town. They make that Racer 5 beer. Its a fun place to catch a ball game.
Tuesday nights there is a free concert in the park. I don't know if its a seasonal thing though.
Get a map of Healdsburg from one of the shops or wineries. It's a really cool town with a lot to do.

It is. When the weather is nice it's hard to find a spot on the square. But they do relax the open container laws on Tuesdays in the summer. Wine and music is pretty nice.
