My sister is renting a condo for Labor Day Weekend in Gulf Shores (Island Shores) - a few blocks down the beach from Hwy 59. I'm considering taking my kids for a day trip to go hang out on the beach with them.

I'm assuming that visitor parking on Labor Day weekend at the condo complex probably isn't happening. Anyone know of any public parking or areas I could park for the day without having to make a long walk? Do people just park on the side streets off the beach blvd? I know there is public parking lots for the city, behind the Hangout which appears to be about a half-mile away.

Any suggestions?

You can’t park and her come pick you up and drop you off?

Definitely don’t park on the side on the main drag. What will be left of your vehicle will eventually get towed.

There is public parking at the public beach access points. Would need to be there early though for Labor day weekend. may find one close to her condo. otherwise she could pick you up as suggested above.

Park up 59 somewhere Alvins, Ice Cream joint,Rouses, tons of options then have her come get you.

There is public parking at all public beach access points. East Beach near Hangout is residents only but if you head West you have lots of public parking. It’s a holiday weekend so get out early and you will have no problems. Drive out to The Pass, big parking lot and you can have the Gulf and the lagoon to swim in.
