Gonna be forced to travel with more suits for business in 2020. I bought a simple garment bag but I’m curious as to what the rest of you use for situations where you’ll be flying with multiple suits in tow?

Thanks in advance.

Amazon has a branded garment bag that’s excellent. It’s all I bring on a 2-3 night trip.

So I pulled the trigger on this bad boy on Amazon, mainly for the design and the fact that Mystery Ranch doesn't offer a garment bag and its pretty damn cheap.

It's an interesting design with a place for my shoes and it cost me $40. Experimented over the weekend with three blazers I'm not traveling folded into it for a few days just to see how they react.

I'm probably gonna check it and not eschew my Mystery Ranch Wheelie 40l & Urban Assault 21l for my carry on/personal item via Delta.

Looks like polyurethane faux and it's definitely not BIFL in terms of its build quality. But there are more expensive options with this same design elsewhere that have a bit more reputation for build quality behind them than this one. So if it works fairly well I can always upgrade.

So I was gone for 5 days two weeks ago. Got a chance to field test the bag I linked earlier in the thread. It worked. I had to bring my travel steamer to take care of the wrinkles. The entire point of owning a bag like this is finding a solution for not just traveling with suits but avoiding excess wrinkles in them. Especially blazers and coats.

This did not do that at all. My expectations were low and it kinda met them. I'll have to upgrade to a more traditional bag.

I will say that I crammed a full tux, formal shoes, two more blazers, a 2nd pair of shoes, my travel steamer and my whites for the trip along with my bowtie, suspenders, vest, cufflinks etc.

But the bad part about it is as I was packing to leave the zippers caught on the fabric in the bag. I had to rub the area down with soap using an edge of a bar of soap and a Q-tip to get the fabric out of the teeth.

Luckily it's cheap and wasn't a huge investment compared to other bags.

Anyway, other suggestions are welcome, everyone!

Honestly I've never found any "suiter" option that can keep your clothes genuinely wrinkle free. Sure, they can help, but you're still going to need to steam once you arrive or just live with it, I guess.

Shirts are my biggest problem. When I was younger and wearing cheaper suits/jackets they would crease pretty badly, but as I've replaced those with better stuff they travel far better. For an oxford or similar to wear with a blazer, the little envelope folder things work better than any suiter I've tried. But if you really need a crisp shirt for something, I've never found a solution other than taking a true garment bag or steaming on arrival.
