been wanting to catch a concert or two, and red rocks looks like a phenomenal place to see one. what is seating like? are there any bad seats so to speak? from what i can tell, it doesn't look like it, but it's hard to judge through pictures from google images. sound okay anywhere in the theater?
i'm looking sometime in october so i imagine the weather will be nice in the evening.

I was 1/2 up from top and it wasn’t bad. I’m not a huge concert person, but if you are, it’s a bucket list trip to see a concert there. The sound was great. I went in June, it probably gets cool at night in October.

Been to Red Rock a few times. Really no bad seats.
Truly awesome venue.

i haven't been to a concert in a very long time. i have to believe the weather will be great and a break from the summer heat of the south.
i guess what i am asking is -- does it make sense to pay more for tickets at the very bottom vs. the top? it doesn't look like "nose bleed" sections like a football stadium.

Best music venue in the world bar none. I live in Denver, so tend to make a few concerts a year over there. It’s lots of fun.

i haven't looked at maps, but roughly how far is morrison from denver? do you recommend staying in morrison or denver? in other words, is there anything worth a shite in morrison aside from the concert?

Sat in the middle both times I went
Wouldn’t pay extra to be closer to the stage for sure

The sound quality is great throughout due to the music reverberating off of the rocks. It’s really if you want to be close to the band or not. You have a Birds Eye view from every seat. So just consider things you’d normally consider for a concert.

Here’s the problem leaving Red Rocks: you need a ride. It’s difficult leaving Red Rocks by Uber. If you’re doing a one night thing, I’d recommend you set up a shuttle beforehand. Morrison is alright, but I’d probably stay in more Denver proper if I were you.

Good to know. no seat backs from what i can tell, is that correct? are they really needed?

It’s awesome! Was fortunate to see Umphrey’s McGee in July of 2022 there. Very fun venue!

Going to seem out of left field a bit but so would highly recommend staying in Golden, CO. Only 15 min away. Plenty of bars, restaurants, etc… in Golden. Very nice and safe to walk around at night. Plenty close enough to RR to Uber/taxi, etc. might even have shuttle service if you look into it.

Not for me I stood pretty much the entire time

Then just go and park. Pretty simple. Just seeing if you were planning on getting drunk or doing any other elicit supplements.

Red Rocks is awesome. Was out there in April for a concert. Get one of the shuttles from Union Station, takes you there and back for 50 bucks and you can bring your own beer/alcohol. Really easy.

It’s a great experience. The sound can get a little “swirly” higher up if there’s moderate wind gusts.
Prep for any and all weather you might experience.
You will get an Uber but it will be surge price. There are lots of shuttles that run from various spots around the city so it may be worth doing some research on that.

i am certainly open to this. thank you for sharing. so i would fly into denver, get a rental, stay in golden, and then go to concert in morrison. all doable, correct?
