Anything I should be aware of?

I’m sure all of the creature comforts of frequent flyers are gone, but what else?

We just got back today from California into MSY. Masks are required in the airport and on the plane. Middle seats were open on the entire plane (Southwest). No food or drink service on the plane, just a snack mix and cups of water. We flew out of Oakland this morning and almost all the bars and restaurants in the airport were closed. Other than that, the airports seem less crowded and wait times through security were probably shorter than I’ve seen in a very long time.

Exactly what Jon said..

Flew to Mia Fri.... Flying back to msy this evening.

On flight seating is spaced out.

To be honest... It felt safer than an restaurant.

Didn’t know if TSA was doing temp checks or the airline was... any potential delays.

I’m the park 45 min before flight and walk right through security and board. Just making sure no potential delays I’m unaware of.

No temp checks or questioning. We got to MSY about an hour before our flight last Saturday. Was able to get some food and have a couple of drinks before we boarded. Not sure how others are boarding but southwest is boarding 10 positions at a time.

How long does that take? I’m on SW. A-preferred so will be first on.

This is true right now on Southwest and Delta, but it is not true on American and United, which are indeed filling middle seats.

Welp one thing is the same as before... TSA fricking sucks.

No pre check and only two lines open. Each had about 40-50 people deep.

Maybe we got lucky due to timing of our flights but this wasn’t the case with us in MSY or Oakland. We didn’t do pre check but the lines were short for both of our flights.

Same here. Lines were short in MSY and Vegas.
