The AmEx Centurion in D is my go to but if that is overrun I'll go and hide out in the KLM Crown Lounge. Not as nice but it's never crowded.

Airports are funny and I love them. They're all kind of the same. Especially domestically.
You can tell who's done it a lot and does it often. You can tell who rarely flies. You can tell the business guys, and the Spirit airline crowd, and the "going to see family" grandparents from a mile away. You can see the college teams with a bunch of kids too cool for an airport.
I always notice weird things. What country club is that guy wearing on the side of his sleeve. Did he play there once? Is he a member?
I notice what brands are popular and can kind of see trends change over time.
I can always tell when people are heading to/from a big sporting event. Being in an airport on a college football Friday is always fun. The score is still 0-0. Everyone is hopeful.
I think that's my way of passing the time. I always kind of tell the story for the people that I see, right or wrong, but I travel so much I think I have a good sense.

I love this, you hit the nail on the head as, ultimately, my favorite airport activity is people watching.

Find a row of empty seats with good charging ports. Play on my phone. Gamble on whatever random bullshite sport is live, people watch , walk around.

Currently watching the upgrade board obsessively to see if we’ll get an upgrade. We are at the top of the list so far. Flight has been delayed. Crew just showed up. Thankfully our next one is delayed too?

Walk. I'm not a step nazi but I'm kinda a step nazi. Tough to get in your movement for the day if you are sitting around on a travel day.
Airports are great for people watching. And, I've met a couple of nice looking women who were doing the same as me, walking.
