My oldest is graduating high school next May. He's into computer gaming, drum corps, music, amusement parks.

I'm looking for a trip that either he and i could go on or i take him and a friend somewhere. Any ideas? 3-4k budget.

frick all that, bring him to Costa Rica and travel the country from Montezuma Beach (Chico’s Bar) to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (Salsa Brava Rasta Bar). Rent a vehicle in San Jose, drive west…stay in Montezuma, surf Mal Pais…then let the wind take you.

Maybe find a concert of a band that he likes in a city with an amusement park. Busch gardens in Virginia is pretty cool. Richmond and other cities not too far away.

Yosemite. It’s an outdoor playground.

Amusement Park: Cedar Point (OH) or Universal Orlando.

Vegas. You can rent a car and hit National Parks in Southern Utah or go to the Grand Canyon. Then hit up a resort, eat good food, see some great shows, and teach him how to gamble responsibly.

Agree with Yosemite. Fly into SF or Tahoe.

Chicago. So much to do. Museums, Cubs, Sox, Six Flags Great America was a lot of fun.

Smoky Mountains and Dollywood.

Texas Hill County. Austin, New Braunfels, River tubing, Schlitterbahn, Fredericksburg, San Antonio, Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A stop at a Buc-ee’s is a must.

Denver and surrounding areas. Rocky Mtn NP, Boulder, ski resorts in the summer have a lot to do, white water rafting, horseback riding.

Cedar Point is the GOAT amusement park, and the you have the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

Can drive and visit some cool stuff along the way.
